\There's more to Akakara than just hotpots!?/
Akakara is famous for its Akakara hotpot, but they also have a wide selection of yakiniku dishes! Their original yakiniku with their special rich and spicy sauce and secret Akakara sauce is a must-try |
I went to Akakara Higashi Shizuoka Ekiminami with my colleague S for drinks. The lights came on right at 5pm when the restaurant opened, so we were the first ones there! Akakara nabe is a Nagoya specialty, made with a secret soup made from a blend of Nagoya miso and red chili peppers. The restaurant is spacious, with roughly 100 tables. The staff are mostly young and energetic men and women. First off, we toasted with beer and edamame for 199 yen~♪ Beer after a marathon is especially good ^^ Red cucumber for 199 yen. This is delicious! Akakara cucumbers are not to be underestimated!! Akakara's specialty Akakara nabe (two servings) for 2,078 yen. You can choose the spiciness from 0 to 10 at the start. We ordered the most popular "No. 3"! It's starting to boil! It's ripe to eat~♪ The hot pot is full of ingredients such as tofu, Chinese chives, bean sprouts, fried tofu, Chinese cabbage, green onions, meatballs, pork, and innards☆ Moderately spicy and delicious! It gives you energy~♪ I topped it with innards for 409 yen halfway through. The plump innards danced in my mouth♪ Deep fried young chicken for 490 yen. It wasn't very juicy... My colleague M's favorite Akakara egg roll for 409 yen. A delicious egg roll with an addictive sweetness. Deep fried quail and... what was it again? ^^ What was this again?... I start to remember from around this point... (lol) For the final dish, I chose cheese risotto for 367 yen, which is the most popular among women. Done♪ Looks delicious♪ Hmmmm... This one just tastes too strong...>< It was too strong for both me and M, who likes strong flavors... . Did I eat it the wrong way? (lol) I'm stuffed, so it was a delicious meal. When I look at the photos later, I'm surprised, thinking, "I ate so much?" I definitely took in more calories than I consumed during the marathon ^^ The food tastes better after I run! I need to run again. For more pictures and details, please see here. http://johnnygori.blog104.fc2.com/blog-entry-1280.html
