●モーニングクロワッサンサンドセット 737円
静鉄 新静岡駅直結の商業ビル「新静岡セノバ」のB1Fにあるカフェ「espressamente illy(エスプレッサメンテ イリー)」。全国チェーン飲食店「PRONTO(プロント)」の運営するイタリアンバル業態の店舗。
「iily(イリー)」は真四角の赤地に白字で「illy」と書かれたロゴマークで知られるイタリアの食品メーカーで、コーヒー豆やエスプレッソマシン、エスプレッソカップなどコーヒー製品の製造、販売を行い、日本ではプロントやキーコーヒー(KEY COFFEE)、コカ・コーラと業務提携している。
この日はセノバの5階の「さわやか」で受付発券を済ませて、待ち時間をつぶすために同じビルの地下1階にあるこちらのカフェへ。
午前11時まではモーニングセットの提供をしている。モーニングのクロワッサンサンドとドリンクのセット(737円)をオーダー。クロワッサンサンドは生ハム、トンノ(ツナ)、ピスタチオ＆ラズベリーの3種類がある。生ハムのサンドとドリンクはダブルエスプレッソをチョイス。
クロワッサンサンドはレジカウンターの冷蔵ショーケースの中にあらかじめ作られたものが並んでいるのでスピーディに提供。出来合いなのでクロワッサンが冷たくてふにゃっとしているのは仕方ない。
クロワッサンの中に生ハムとサニーレタス、粉チーズが挟んである。生ハムは促成生ハムではなくちゃんとしたスペイン産の熟成生ハムを使っていて、チーズも質もいい。これでクロワッサンがオーブンで温めたパリッとした食感だったら文句なしだ。
エスプレッソはイリー社製のエスプレッソカップで提供される。イリーのコーヒー豆は4大陸9種類のアラビカ種コーヒー豆を100％使用しており、全て生産農家から直接購入し、専門家が収穫ロットごとに微妙な調整を行いながらブレンド、焙煎している。イリーブレンドのエスプレッソはキャラメルのような香りと甘いアフターテイストが特徴。
