A Gyoza / Dumpling specialty store located in Golden Yokocho near Shizuoka Station. It used to be a different restaurant, but before I knew it, it had changed to a restaurant called Gyoza / Dumpling no Kenoh (I don't know if the owner had changed). This time I entered the restaurant for the first time because an acquaintance invited me to an all-you-can-eat Gyoza / Dumpling meal. To be honest, I have no idea what kind of store it is. There are four types of all-you-can-eat Gyoza / Dumpling: regular Gyoza / Dumpling, fried Gyoza / Dumpling, cheese Gyoza / Dumpling, and boiled Gyoza / Dumpling. It took about 2 hours, and we started the meal with an all-you-can-drink option for around 1000 yen. The friendly-looking guy explained everything to me, but to be honest, I was worried that I would get bored of the four types of Gyoza / Dumpling very quickly. Just as I thought, there seemed to be some kind of service, and seasonings such as lettuce, plums, perilla, and honey were brought to me so I wouldn't get bored of the taste. And the appetizer is like homemade kimchi pickled in a pot. I was honestly impressed by how good the service was, even though I wasn't expecting much. Well, it seems like it will take some time for Gyoza / Dumpling to cook, so I decided to order some alcohol first. There are about 50 types, from beer to Shaoxing wine, chuhai, soft drinks, and more. A cup costs around 500 yen, so if you're drinking two or more drinks, the all-you-can-drink plan is apparently a good deal. Unfortunately, it seems that the only sake available is cheap, so I only order Chuhai once in a while. This came out within a few minutes, but I couldn't help but do a double take when I saw what was in the glass. I thought they would serve flavored shochu like the ones at Soko's Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), but there was a fair amount of solid fruit inside. Honestly, some people may find it difficult to eat if it's served in a glass, but I personally feel that the restaurant is very considerate in ensuring that its customers enjoy the delicious taste. Well, while I was doing that, the regular Gyoza / Dumpling arrived at the table first. Since it was an all-you-can-eat option, I was a little worried about how it would taste, but it had a lot of flavor and was freshly baked, so it was quite delicious. Best of all, you can eat it in a variety of flavors. I ordered 2 servings at first, but it went away relatively quickly. So, I ordered another type of Gyoza / Dumpling for each person. Gyoza / Dumpling fried Gyoza / Dumpling are nothing special. Personally, I felt the flavor was a little too strong. Cheese Gyoza / Dumpling don't have cheese inside, but seem to have cheddar and Parmesan on top of Gyoza / Dumpling. The taste is pretty average. The boiled Gyoza / Dumpling also didn't have any special characteristics, and I personally felt that the regular Gyoza / Dumpling were the most delicious. However, two hours was a long time for just eating Gyoza / Dumpling, and in the end, each person stopped using chopsticks after eating about 2-30 pieces. Normally, if you order Gyoza / Dumpling, it will cost around 500 yen per person, which is not much different from Gyoza / Dumpling specialty shops near the station. If you're not a huge eater, it might be better to go to a regular Gyoza / Dumpling specialty restaurant instead of an all-you-can-eat option. The service was very good, but considering the quality of Gyoza / Dumpling, it's a bit difficult to return to this restaurant.
