Located on the 14th floor of Hotel Crown Palace, Medicinal Food is a Chinese Nouvelle Vague cuisine based on Chinese cuisine. We visited on a weekday for dinner. We had the "Genbu" course meal. We were seated at a table in a spacious room and enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. The course started with "Hors d'oeuvre with seasonal ingredients", followed by "Wok-fried seafood with Seafood XO sauce", "Braised shark's fin with XO sauce", "Braised lobster with Aurora Borealis sauce (the lobster was plump and the sauce was rich and exquisite)", and "Shrimp abalone in oyster sauce (the abalone was small but had a great taste! The abalone is small but packed with flavor! Beef filet with Steak and chilled jade noodle (spinach kneaded jade noodle with aloe vera, exquisite tenderness and crispiness, truly the best of Medicinal Food! We had a luxurious time with them. Chef Okabe was awarded the Medal with Yellow Ribbon in 2018! Also, restaurant is on the 14th floor of the hotel, so it has a great location overlooking the Hamamatsu station area! The night view is even more wonderful!
