On the night of our trip to Hamamatsu on October 5th, we went to Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). We just wanted to eat Hamamatsu Gyoza / Dumpling, so we didn't do any research beforehand and just went to a random restaurant we found. This time, each of the trip participants ordered what they wanted to eat. For the main course, we chose shrimp shabu shabu and Cow tongue shabu shabu, which the restaurant recommended. The shrimp shabu shabu and Cow tongue shabu shabu were really good. There's no way that plump shrimp and Cow tongue won't be delicious. This was my first time eating Hamamatsu Gyoza / Dumpling, but the filling was delicious with a lot of vegetables. I'm not sure what's so good about the bean sprouts in the middle of Gyoza / Dumpling. In Miyazaki, the only seafood they can boast about is spiny lobster (^^;), but all of the seafood from Shizuoka was very delicious. Finally, we had Ramen in the soup with plenty of dashi stock from the shrimp shabu shabu as a final dish. We had all-you-can-drink and ordered whatever we wanted, and it was cheap, less than 5,000 yen per person. There seemed to be a lot of high-quality ingredients, but everyone was very satisfied.
