Located just below Kakegawa Castle, Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) a popular izakaya that is bustling every night. Its winter specialty is undoubtedly hotpot!
Nanohana, located in the castle town, is a Japanese-style Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) loved by locals. It serves seasonal dishes in a homey atmosphere. Many customers enjoy the extremely fresh sashim |
After sightseeing at Kakegawa Castle, we went to Nanohana near the castle tower for lunch. They operate as Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) at night, and offer soba, udon, and Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot) for lunch. While I was deciding what to get, they brought me a menu with a photo and said Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot) was recommended, so I ordered the Gomoku Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot) set. It came out sooner than I expected, so I guess they had done a good job of preparing it. There was a nice scorch on the rice, and it was just under three bowls of rice. It was delicious. There was also a parking lot right across the street, so it was convenient.
