当店名物”振袖餅”をぜひ一度ご賞味ください。
当店は創業約200年旧東海道沿い掛川宿に茶店として営業して参りました。名物”振袖餅”は、当初は平たい形をしており、着物の振袖の形に似ていたことが名前の由来とされています。その昔、観音菩薩を参拝に来る人々が帰途の途中に、弊店の餅を土産として買っていたっといわれています。”振袖餅”と共に東海道の歴史に思いをはせてみてはいかがでしょうか。 |
掛川市迄行ったので何かお土産になる物はないかと検索!
見つけ出したのは此方の「御餅処 もちや」さん、和菓子を中心に販売しているお店になります。
お店は創業200年を超えているようですので、城下町ならではないのでしょうか。
此方の名物は「振袖餅」、なんでも午前中に売り切れる事もあるようで少し不安でしたが、かろうじて残っていたので6個入りを購入してみました。
箱を開けると、俵屋型の大福餅ときな粉餅が3個ずつ入っていました。
手に取るとずしりとした重みを感じお餅も柔らかく滑らかでしっかりと伸びます。
どちらもたっぷり粒餡が入っていて重さの正体はこの餡子にあるようです。
餡子自体も塩加減が絶妙で甘すぎず、しょっぱすぎずの味付けは正に良い塩梅と言えるのではないでしょうか。
そして、「振袖餅」には渋めのお茶が良く合います。
お餅と渋めのお茶、日本人で良かったなと思う瞬間でした。
