With the motto of "Delicious Western Cuisine knows no borders!", I want my customers to be able to enjoy the delicious food I've enjoyed in my career as a chef, whether it be Japanese-style meal, West |
It was Friday, so we decided to have a light meal and drink, but our choice of restaurant is a bit stale. This restaurant has a high female customer base, so we were accompanied by a female colleague. We had her call to make a reservation, but the table seats were already full, so we managed to get three seats at the counter. Most of the customers in the restaurant were young women, so our group of three middle-aged men felt a bit out of place, but we started off with a toast of draft beer. The dish that was brought out, "This is the appetizer," had a stylish feel that women would like, and would be better described as hors d'oeuvre or antipasto. The first dish was deep-Prosciutto with prosciutto. It was a bit of an unexpected combination, but it was quite good. We ate the bagna cauda, bruschetta, and salad. My colleague ordered a cold Kuroryu sake, so we had a little. It would have been more delicious as an opening drink, but... It's not a restaurant that serves much sake, so it can't be helped. We changed our drink to a bottle of white wine and ordered the next dish, grilled swordfish. The sauce was a little on the thicker side, so it went well with white wine. Next, we had two Thai Cuisine ordered by a female colleague. I'm picky about Thai Cuisine, so I'm not sure what to think. First, Thai-style green curry. It had a big piece of chicken and vegetables, and was Thai-style, or more like a green curry version of Sapporo Soup Curry. It wasn't spicy enough, but the taste was okay. It was sticky, so I wish the rice was a little firmer. Next, we had tom yum goong. It was a sour shrimp soup with no spiciness at all, arranged for Japanese people. It's hard to call it tom yum goong, but the taste isn't bad, so it's good for enjoying Ethnic Cuisine atmosphere. In the end, we added another bottle of sparkling wine. All we drank and ate was 5,000 yen per person, so we were satisfied. After that, we went to the bar of Mr. S, the former boss of the chef of this restaurant, for after-party, [a:22020202,Amphora]. . . .
