We are in the middle of the first half of Golden Week. My parents and I went to Okabe-cho to buy freshly picked bamboo shoots. On the way, we stopped by the wisteria festival at Renge-ji Temple in Fujieda City. It was a very sunny and hot day. (26°C before 11am) It was 1.5km around, but there were shops here and there, so we enjoyed the walk. When we go back from the west, my family usually eats at the Yaizu Fish Center (lol) And we don't always have a set restaurant. Today, we went to Sumaru-ya, which is located inside the center. Actually, there are tables in the back, too. (ºo°)w We had a meal with some English-speaking people who seemed to be high school students staying with us, chatting away in a lively manner.お腹いっぱいです。 English: (His voice was quite loud ( ≧Д≦) It was even more so because I couldn't understand what he was saying...) Anyway, here's the menu we ordered: Papa Kamitono: Medium fatty tuna lean meat bowl Changed to clam soup Mama Kamitono: Today's fish bowl (less rice) Miso soup (fish soup) Pekoya Chibo: Same as Mama Kamitono. Trout: The flesh was firm and not too oily. Albacore: The flesh was soft and had a mild taste. I would have liked it to be a little sweeter (more savory). Akami: The tuna flavour really came through. The wasabi brought out the deliciousness. Medium fatty tuna: This is my favourite part of the tuna. It was delicious. Sakura shrimp: Red shrimp: Both were very fresh so there was no unpleasant smell and it was delicious. It was sweet and of course delicious. Abalone: It was average. (I don't think my mother realized it was abaloneʘ‿ʘ) Sea bream: A little on the fresh side... The vinegared rice had a strong sour taste, but it seemed like that part hadn't been stirred properly. Both my mother and I had small portions of rice, and we all ate it all, so nothing went to waste. Thank you for the delicious meal (•ө•)♡
