杉山フルーツで生フルーツゼリーを購入したついでに富士市内で食事をするのもそろそろネタ切れ。今まではネット検索でも気づかなかったこの店を発見して12月下旬の平日夕方に訪問。予習で結構お洒落なメニューが多いことはわかっていましたが、想像以上に店内もお洒落。幹線道路沿いとは言え、失礼ながら富士市の駅からも遠いこの場所にあるのはちょっと違和感があります。「富士店」とあるので、本店が静岡駅やリゾート地にでもあるのかと思ってお店のHPを見ましたが、このお店の案内しかありません。お酒類も充実していますが、立地を考えると車での来店も多く、客単価を考えると勿体ない気がします。
各料理のボリュームが分からなかったのと新幹線の時間も迫っていたので控えめに注文。それでもカレーにかなり時間がかかり、最後はちょっと焦りました。写真の通り見た感じもお洒落です。和の食材を洋風に調理する工夫も随所にあり、「洋食」というより「創作料理」と言った方が近いかもしれません。お味の方もありがちな「創作料理」の見掛け倒しはなく、十分に楽しめました。野菜たっぷり焼カレーは写真ではトッピングの豚勝ツレツが目立ちますが、その下に「たっぷり」と謳っても問題がないくらいの「野菜」が隠れています。少し前に成田空港で食べて唖然とした「野菜たっぷり」カレーとは雲泥の差です。食べ終えてからも、余計なお世話ながらこの場所にあるのは勿体ない気がしました。
17時の夜の部開店早々に入店したので店内はガラガラだったですが、店の前の幹線道路は平日だったので帰宅渋滞で新幹線の時間を遅らす羽目になりました。意外なところに落とし穴がありました。
