千本公園に向かい浅間神社の交差点を超えて2本目を左に入ってすぐの閑静な場所にあります。鰻割烹となってはいますが、割烹というよりは昔からある鰻屋さんという感じです。店内は古く多少雑然としていますが清潔感はあり、座敷とテーブル席があります。
うな重を何度か食べています。丁寧に作っているので出てくるまでにかなり時間がかかります。厚くてしまった鰻を丁寧にさばき、蒸して、じっくり炭火で焼いたことがよくわかる味です。ふっくらしながらも身がしっかりしています。タレは甘めでこってりしています。
沼津や三島の鰻屋さんは、代替わりによる方針転換やメディア紹介による混雑等で、昔に比べてイマイチになったところが多いですが、ここはひっそりとおいしい味を継続して提供してくれています。静かで空いていておいしくて、有名な店よりもオススメです。
