住所は熱海なのですが、ここは湯河原の一角、まあ湯河原はどこも細い道と急坂がおおいですけどこちらも予感を裏切りません。川を渡ってエッと思う急坂を登って更に急角度に右に上がるところに洋館。その先は私有地の看板があり侵入禁止です。
目だった看板が無いので恐る恐る駐車すると店主様がお出迎えで一安心。
一寸凝ったメニューとお勧めを拝見して、シラスのアヒージョと、お勧めの牡蠣グラタン、それにシラスのピザ。ピザは薄いので大きめをお願いしました。
アヒージョは大体どうやっても美味しいけどここはアレンジも良く正解、ニンニクを別にカラッと揚げパリパリにしてるのが美味しい。ピザも薄くて好みではあったがやや焼け具合がイマイチ。薄いので焦げやすい分、こんがりは難しいかもしれない。やはり薄手のシラスピザは三浦のボッカに勝る店はなかなかお目にかかれません。グラタンが店主お勧めだったのだけれど、うーｍｍ、何か鮮度と言うか磯の香りを感じられず少々物足らないお味、量と言うか牡蠣の数はあるんだけど、
場所がら老若カップルが多いようでこの日も平日ながら先客1組、あとから2組で6割がたの埋まり具合でした。
一寸残念なのはお手伝いの青年君が返事も態度も良いけれど少し要領が旨くなくてそのたびに店主が指導するのが耳障りだったことでしょうか、まあ言葉遣いなんですけどね。
