創業は昭和２２年の歴史のある蒸しパンのお店。ただし、現在はマックスバリュ熱海が経営を引き継ぎ、「マックスバリュ熱海店」の一画に「ほていや」のコーナーがあります。
お店は蒸しパンのみの専門店。商品には製造は「マックスバリュ」と書かれています。食べログの点数は3.48(2022.5現在）と健闘しています。
販売は蒸しパンのみで、いくつかの種類が販売されています。今回は一番人気の「栗蒸しパン」138円と「メイプル蒸しパン」138円の２種類を購入。
栗蒸しパン138円
栗の甘露煮を細かく砕いたものを蒸しパン生地にロールしたもので、人気No. 1の商品。甘すぎず、素朴で美味しい蒸しパン。
メイプル蒸しパン138円
メイプルは人気No.2の商品。メイプルの香りが素朴な蒸しパンとよく合います。
どちらもCPに優れ、甘すぎないので、食事にもおやつにも便利なパン。
