We visited for a business meal. Apparently it is a famous restaurant in Utsunomiya. We entered the restaurant nervously, but all the staff were very kind and humble. We were truly humbled. We had a course meal in a private room on the second floor. ◆ Appetizer: Boiled butterbur. The miso garnish was delicious. A quiet start. ◆ Eel liver skewers: The sweet and deep sauce was firmly intertwined with the fragrant taste, and it was a surefire hit from the start. ◆ Shirayaki: Thick meat. The eel's flavor was enough without any toppings. A little bit of wasabi was occasionally placed on top. The bones were carefully removed, making for a bright and beautiful shirayaki. ◆ Sashimi: Elegant presentation. Excellent freshness and flavor. ◆ Grilled dish: The tail and head were grilled to perfection. Enjoy the fat while it is still hot. ◆ Main dish: The Japanese dashi bean paste accentuates the course. ◆Eel bowl/liver soup/pickles The grilled eel is perfectly cooked and savory with a sweet sauce that is not too sweet, and is served on top of plump rice. The course is rounded off with an elegant liver soup and well-marinated pickles. The conversation during the meal was so lively that I couldn't take notes on everything. This is a restaurant I would like to visit again.
