日光東照宮参道に数多く存在する湯葉料理のお店。当初は食べログ好評価の某店を訪れるつもりだったが、ふと足を止めて吸い込まれるように入ったのがこちら。食べログのカテゴリーでは「居酒屋」になっており、湯葉で検索してもヒットしません。
店内は老若男女問わずカジュアルに訪れることができる明るいインテリア。ランチコースは四種類あって千円台と二千円台。四人で訪れていたので四種類をすべてオーダー。
お運びのお兄さんの軽妙な語り口に気分も良く頂いてみると、これが予想以上に一皿一皿しっかりとした仕事がされた素晴らしい湯葉懐石。一同思わず目を見合わせてニッコリ。
古民家風の外観に引き寄せられる観光客を相手にせず、味で勝負をしているお店ですね。帰りがけにふと見つけた店の外の掲示には「本日の夜の部は予約で満席となっております」と書かれていました。
ちなみに駐車場も無料、有料十分にあるので、車で来るにも申し分なし。
