18時の開店と同時に予約客で満席になる。常連さんが主体のようだ。予約できてよかった。取り敢えずビールとバーニャカウダ風のサラダを注文。野菜が新鮮で力強い。ソースも負けないくらい力強いから、食べるこちらも原始人になったようなつもりで食べるのが丁度いい。
大根、瓜、胡瓜、黒い唐辛子、茄子、人参など。歯ごたえがしっかりしていて、エグみのない野菜ばかりだ。これは美味しい。空腹の胃に野菜が入っていくのがいい。生ハムと桃は間違いのない味。ワインによく合う。チリのスパークリングで3,300円だが、これがなかなか美味しい。シャンパンの銘柄ではベルエポックが一番好きだが、チリのスパークリングも悪くない。
鶏白レバーのムースにはピックペッパーがあしらわれている。柔らかいムースにガリッとした食感がアクセントになるし、香りもとてもいい。サンマのコンフィに添えられているのはワタを使ったソースだと思う。苦味に秋を感じる。超厚切り牛タンと野菜のグリルはとんでもなく食べごたえのある一品。立ち向かうように食事をしたのは初めてだ。
デセールはチョコレートケーキを中心にグラス（アイスクリーム）とフルーツ、生クリームがちりばめられていて、こちらはどれも優しい味と食感で、力強い料理と対峙したあとの癒やしをくれる。コーヒーも美味しい。
野菜と魚と肉と甘味。ひと通りの料理をいただいたが、メニューにはまだたくさんのバリエーションがある。何度も通いたくなるフレンチである。常連さんがいるのも当然だ。料理に力があるから、元気のいいときに来るのがいいと思う。ご馳走様でした。
