Shinkansen trains returning to Tokyo from Nasu-Shiobara Station depart approximately every 30 minutes, so if you're unlucky you could end up waiting for more than 20 minutes, so I often have a drink in front of the station before going home. Well, sometimes I'm only going to Omiya or Ueno for a short time, so a non-reserved seat is fine. Maybe I just want to drink, rather than trying to time it to the bullet train (lol). But tonight I'm planning on taking the bullet train exactly an hour later, so I'll choose a place where I can easily adjust my schedule... So I went to Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) chain "Hana no Mai." What's great about Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) chains like this is that they have a wide range of menu items. *I didn't take many photos though (^-^;) We toasted with draft beer! Then, occasionally checking the clock, we added some snacks.
