Lunchtime at Tochigi! While traveling by car, I sometimes see catchy slogans like "Taste Checkpoint" (lol), but what a surprise! I found a "Honjin"! I dropped in at Suginoya Honjin. It has a soba Japanese-style meal set menu, and the restaurant is also Japanese-style. The menu mainly consists of soba and udon sets. I ordered the mini Ten-don (tempura rice bowl) lunch from the lunch menu for 1,188 yen, or change the soba to medium for an extra 165 yen! It was lunchtime on a weekday, and the other customers seemed to be older, as expected. The food was served in about 15 minutes! The mini Ten-don (tempura rice bowl) had a large eggplant, shrimp tempura, and lion pepper, and was of course freshly fried. The tempura sauce was just right and delicious. I got a medium portion of soba! It was neither too much nor too little (lol) and it was exceptionally delicious. I enjoyed the rice and pickles until the very end! It was a relaxing and delicious meal, just like Honjin. Thank you for the meal!!!
