I visited Tochigi Prefecture for the first time in a while, so I went to Suginoya Honjin, which I used to frequent when I lived there. It's not in the town where I live now, so it was very nostalgic. I ordered the "Miso-boiled udon with shrimp tempura," which I always ordered back then. The hot, fragrant red miso flavor is addictive. However, it didn't contain the lotus root that I loved back then, and the noodles were like kishimen, which was a bit disappointing. I was touched by the kindness of the staff and had a good time!
