徳島に来たので、ぜひ吉野川の天然鰻を食べたいと思い、行きついたのがここ「一富久」(いっぷく)。車で徳島市内から20分くらい。こちらは、吉野川の鮎、鰻をはじめ、いのしし、ふぐ、すっぽん、クエなど、徳島近郊の季節の素材の宝庫である。
電話で鰻をお願いしていたからか、ご主人が「うなぎ見てみる?」と活けすの中を見せてくれた。うなぎは青い網の中に入っているのだが、よく見ると、海水魚といっしょ。ご主人に聞くと、河口近くで採るうなぎだからとのこと。それにしても、吉野川の鰻はこんなに大きくて太いのか?と驚いていると、またご主人が、「大きいのは1メートルくらいになるよ!」と。いっしょに見えている細いのがハモだから、比べると鰻の太さがよくわかる。
活けすの中に、ホラ貝が見えたので、これは飾りですか?と聞いたら、ご主人が「中身入っているよ。食べてみる?」というわけで、お刺身に。つぶ貝のような、コリコリした食感で美味い。さらに、もうひとつは、メイタガレイの活き造り。このカレイは小さいけれどとても美味なカレイである。
さて、鰻の白焼き登場。最初は塩で鰻の風味を味わう。肉厚で美味い。続いて、蒲焼。これまた美味い。脂がのりすぎていないことと、皮が美味い。四万十の鰻とは全く別物だった。
さらに、夜光貝のような貝もお刺身にしてもらった。ここで、先ほどお造りにした、メイタガレイの骨の唐揚げと、鰻の骨せんべいを出してくれた。メイタは、身が少し残っていて、アミノ酸を食べているようで、最高!
まだとまらず、吉野川の鮎まで出してもらう。独特の香りがした。今日は、究極の贅沢をしてしまった。
最後に、先ほどの鰻の肝吸いを出してもらって終了。大満足だった。
お店には、TVにも出たという、すっぽんが水槽に入っていた。
徳島に来たら、必ず再訪したいお店になった。
