Thanks to a golf tour I organized with my husband's colleagues, I was able to revisit Tokushima for the first time in four years. Golf is secondary in my mind. It's all about how delicious the food is. After enjoying a delicious Japanese-style meal dinner, I searched for an Okonomiyaki restaurant to try the mame tempura. When we asked for a request, a decent number of people wanted to accompany us, about 10 people. If you call here, it will probably fit right in. We went to the tatami room in the back, and first we had the Negiyaki. This seems to be a specialty of this restaurant, which has been in business for 40 years. The generous amount of green onions gives it a refreshing taste, making it the perfect accompaniment to a new drink. I also ordered the bean tempura balls that I had always wanted to try, just to taste them. I couldn't imagine Okonomiyaki made with sweetly boiled beans, but the beans were not as sweet as I expected. OK, just a good accent. But to be honest, from an outsider's perspective, I don't think it's necessary. The other people seemed to have had something more, but they were getting too drunk and didn't pay much attention to what was going on around them. Lastly, I had a small bite of pork Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles). I'm glad the soba noodles were thick and filling. It's impossible for a drunk person to think beyond that. In the end, the Tokushima Ramen restaurant, which was supposed to be open after that, was temporarily closed, so I exhausted myself and went back to the hotel. Honestly, this might be a good thing. There was almost no room for Ramen anymore.
