きょうは、銀座散歩の途中で、「銀座文明堂東銀座店」にいった。
この店は、歌舞伎座のとなりにあるため、歌舞伎観劇前の待ち合わせや観劇後のティータイムに使う人が多い。
いまは、歌舞伎座が工事中のため、この店への入り口も晴海通り側からのみとなっている。
そういうわけだから、この店もいまは空いているのかと思っていたが、さにあらず。わたしたちがいったときは、ほぼ満席の状態だった。
新橋演舞場からも近いため、演舞場から流れてくる人も多い。ちょうどその時間帯だったのかもしれない。
いずれにしても、この店でしか食べれない限定品の「日之影栗のプリン」を食べようと思っていたが、ちょうど前の客が最後の１個を注文したあとだった。
残念。まあ、しかたがない。
思い直して、文明堂定番の「カステラ」とティーを注文した。
「カステラ」は、きめ細かく、柔らかく、しっとりしていて美味しかった。さすが、文明堂の「カステラ」だ。
つぎに来たときは、「日之影栗のプリン」をぜひゲットしたい。
