久しぶりに歌舞伎座で観劇。で。第三部入場時に早めに中に入ったら、飲食はおろか、すべてのお土産ものの販売もない。公演のパンフレットすらない。
正確に言うと、筋書の無料配布と、水やお茶の販売はある。しかし、幕の内弁当が歌舞伎の幕間に食べる弁当に由来するぐらい、元来歌舞伎と合間の飲食は切ってもきれないものだと思うと、淋しさが込み上げてくる…
で。四部までの時間に外でごはんしようと思うと、歌舞伎座の周りの老舗カフェがことごとく早仕舞い。
すべてはコロナで観劇客が減ったせいだが、このままではディナー難民に…と焦り出したころ、ふと見上げれば、お隣の文明堂の2階にカフェが。
こんなところに文明堂カフェが！灯台下暗し。
いつもの3倍の前置きののち、入店…
安心の老舗の接客で席に通してくれた。
メニューを拝見。ウーン、ナポリタンか、牛ホホ肉のカレーか。牛ホホ肉、めっちゃ惹かれるが、うちでおととい作ったカレーの残りをたいらげねばならない。
ウエイトレスさんが来る寸前まで迷い、口から出たのは…
ナポリタンであった。
あつあつでまろやかで、ケチャップ味がきつすぎない。
1400円と銀座価格だが、おいしいものがいただけて、文明堂の良質な接客が受けられる安心・安全スポット。
