この日は15時から銀座で日本酒関係のイベントに参加するため午後半休。その前に銀座でランチをと思い、地下鉄の階段を上がったらゲリラ雷雨！折り畳み傘を頼りにお目当ての鰻屋へ。
店頭に「しばらくの間12時30分からの営業とさせていただきます」と書かれ、なおかつランチ営業は13時30分までのようで、これまで早すぎたり遅過ぎたりで入店できず、この日ようやく初訪問。
2,750円のうな丼が有名だけど、せっかく久々の鰻でもあり上うな重を。小鉢（前菜三種）、お新香、お吸い物（肝吸い）、デザート（ハウスみかん1個）が付いて5,500円は十分お値打ちの域。
肝心の鰻は甘さを控えて醤油の立ったタレが独特で、ふっくら焼き上げられた鰻自体の味わいを感じられ、とても美味しくいただきました。
帰り際に店主と話したら「アメリカや中国のお客さんは穴子のツメより甘いようなかなり甘い味が好みらしく、ウチにはあまり来ない。イタリアやイギリスなど塩味好みの方が合うみたいです」とのこと。
