I love loco moco, and it's part of my lunch rotation. The most delicious loco moco I've ever had was probably the one I had at Royal Host in Fukuoka. I've been hooked ever since. Whenever I go to Royal Host, I always look for loco moco, but it seems to have disappeared from the menu. I'm sad. So I'm on a quest to find the next loco moco I like, but I can't seem to find anything that really hits the spot. I've been checking out this restaurant on the 10th floor of Tokyu Plaza for a while. It's a little pricey. The Angus beef loco moco comes with a salad and costs 1,628 yen including tax. The Angus beef part is probably what makes it more expensive than regular loco moco. The loco moco, which was served with a notice saying "Be careful, the hot plate is hot," was served on a small hot plate with white rice, Angus beef Hamburg on top, and a slightly hard fried egg on top. Thickly cut potatoes and broccoli were on the side. Hamburg steak doesn't have a rough texture, probably due to the binder. I don't think it really brings out the goodness of the Angus beef. There isn't much sauce on it, so you have to eat the broccoli without it. It's flavorless. It comes with a salad, so I had a beer (550 yen) while waiting for the loco moco. They have a wide variety of Hawaiian beers, so it's good to get a taste of Hawaii, but I wish the service was as cheerful as Hawaii.
