I had a meeting in Ginza after 9pm, so I visited by myself for dinner. The location is in an alley between Corridor Street and Dentsu Street, giving it a hidden feel. The basement floor has a stylish atmosphere that combines Japanese and European styles. The counter is spacious and you can relax. First, while drinking beer, we wait for the home-cooked dishes prepared by Mr. Kobayashi, the owner, chef and sommelier. The order was Saikyo-yaki pork and scamorza cheese wrapped in pork belly and grilled in soy sauce. Both have become meat-based. Scamorza cheese wrapped in pork belly grilled with dashi soy sauce was adapted to my selfish desire for a light meal, and I was asked to grill it with ponzu sauce. As for the wine, Mr. Kobayashi selected a white wine to go with the food. (I asked for something reasonably priced.) There are also a variety of other menu items, such as today's Kamakura vegetable salad, Yamato potato grilled with grated yam, Hiroshima fried Sushi with homemade tartare, steamed mussels in white wine, and grilled Hayama beef sushi. But, as expected, I couldn't get there alone. We enjoyed delicious food, wine, and conversation at the counter. On this day, it was a reasonable 10,000 yen for two dishes, beer and a bottle of white wine. Courses start from 3,800 yen (excluding tax), and there is a wide variety of alcoholic drinks. I have used it for entertaining before, and the customers were happy with the stylish, hideaway feel, and polite and homely customer service. There is also Karaoke on the second basement floor, and there seem to be various courses that include all-you-can-drink options.
