ランチにとんかつを久しぶりに食べましたー。
友人と待ち合わせて、京橋の駅付近でランチミーティング。
何気ないランチミーティングでも、僕は今まで入ったことのない店にターゲットを絞ります。能動性の成果として発掘する楽しみを食べログに記録することが極わずかな周りにしか知られていない密かな楽しみになっています。いわゆる趣味ですね。
ランチの選択は美味しいお店は必須条件ですが、その他のテーマ設定は魚や野菜を使ったヘルシーなものとか、行ったことのない店と言う条件設定もありです。
中でも、とんかつは大好物ですが、55歳をすぎた現在では、味の好みの問題ではなく、カロリー的にも、動物性脂肪をはじめとして油脂分と言う意味でも避けたいのですが、久しぶりと言うことと、食べてみたいお店と言う事で選びました。
ロースのトンカツのジワリと溢れ出る脂肪分はとんかつには目がない僕には無条件で美味いです。これ以上の量があると少し重くなるかな？と思う感じ。ご飯との分量のバランスも良しです。
特徴的に言うとカラリと揚がっている感じは○。肉の厚みは僕の好きなトンカツの厚みではなく、値段が数段高くてもいいから特別なトンカツが欲しいと言う感想。特別感がないと面白くありません。
揚げ方も、おそらく肉自体の旨味分もあと一つ、特別感はありませんでした。
私見にはなりますが、上の文章に書いたほどトンカツを食べると言うことは勇気のいる行為。そう、トンカツはトンカツマニアからマークされないと存在意義がないジャンルの食べ物なんです。つまり普通のトンカツが売れるわけがありません。
ランチにどうしてもトンカツが食べたい人以外には、選ばれないからです。
分厚いとか、肉の旨味がハンパないとか、デュロックだとか、メイシャンだとか、トンカツマニアが目指すものを出せばもはや価格の問題ではなく、単価設定も3,000円クラスまで企画次第で自在です。
コンサバなトンカツでも出しておくと言うレベル設定が一番支持されないと思います。
