日本を代表する帝国ホテルは大好きなホテルの一つです。
このところ外資系ホテルが幅をきかせていますが、
御三家と言われる帝国ホテル、ホテルオークラ、
ホテルニューオータニは彼らに負けていないと思います。
帝国ホテル東京はこれまでもバイキングの『サール』や
見晴らしのいいラウンジ『アクア』に訪問していますが、
こちらの『オールドインペリアルバー』は初めてです。
バーはフロントから２階に上がった奥にあり
到着した平日の18時前にもかかわらず
カウンターは半分程度うまっていました。
・LUGEND
桃をベースにしたカクテルで甘いのですが
度数は高めでした。
・オリエンタルジュエル
東洋を意識して金箔が浮かぶカクテルの中にジュエルに見立てた
？？？がありました。
今回訪問しようとしたきっかけは、
「ライト館」が開業100周年であり、2030年より建て替えをすることが
決まったためです。
昔と違ってバーに行くことはほとんどなくなったのですが、
バーの本質は夜景などの景色ではなく空間のプロデュースと
客層だと改めて感じました。
雰囲気を味わいに再訪したいです。
