Remarks |
Imperial Hotel mezzanine floor, go up the main staircase from the lobby and turn left |
Tabelog Silver Awarded Restaurant. This is my first time visiting the Imperial Hotel. For me, the Imperial Hotel is the central entrance of the old Imperial Hotel in Meiji Village, Aichi Prefecture. I was impressed that there was such a fine hotel in the Meiji era, with its great taste and dignity. Since then, I have had a longing for the Imperial Hotel, and this time I was finally able to visit for the first time. The current exterior of the building is less stylish than the Meiji building, and there are plans to rebuild it. However, once inside, there is a large lobby, and there are many front desk staff and concierges, giving the impression that good service is being provided. French cuisine Restaurants Les Saisons is on the mezzanine floor. I made a reservation for lunch at 12:00, but I arrived early, and when I asked if I could get in, I was told it was fine, and lunch began. When I sat down, a waiter dressed in a dignified outfit came over. The first thing he asked me was, "What would you like to drink?" I was shown the drink menu, but there was no beer on it, but there was a lot of wine and sparkling wine. Wine starts at 2,800 yen, which is a bit scary. (・・;) I wonder if there is beer? I asked and they had it. △Draft beer I wanted to say "cheers" to everyone, but the atmosphere inside was solemn, so I had a quiet toast by myself. ◯Bread and butter This was brought out first. It was baguette. It was introduced as a dish that was not listed on the menu. ◯Hokkaido hairy crab and yuzu pepper It's creamy. The aroma of the hairy crab whets the appetite. The yuzu pepper is effective and gives it a spicy taste. It's elegant and extremely delicious. I feel like I got a bargain. ◯Trout from the foot of Mt. Fuji and white asparagus. Mousseline with a hint of yuzu Trout from the foot of Mt. Fuji It's roasted very rare. It's also delicious with the yuzu mousseline If you eat the mousseline by itself, it's quite salty. The white asparagus smells good. ◯Bread to go with fish Bread made with seaweed from the Shimanto River It has a great seaweed scent. ◯ Grilled Spanish mackerel wrapped in cherry blossom leaves and Udo Grilled Tempura mackerel wrapped in cherry blossom leaves and grilled as is. On the side is tempura of cod sprouts. The Spanish mackerel is crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The Udo sauce is creamy and delicious. The cod sprouts are crispy. ◯ Roasted lamb on the bone Clam and seaweed salad French lamb. Grilled pink. But it has a firm bite. The meat has a good flavor. The saltiness of the sauce is just right. The middle part is quite soft. Delicious lamb. Garnishes include wakame seaweed, nori, clams, and it is delicious with the salty taste of shellfish. Eggplant The sauce on top is good. ◯ Traditional sweets Baba Rum flavor First, burnt things? Six kinds came. The nougat is delicious. The main dessert is baba. The cake is made by baking dough that has been fermented with yeast in a circular or cylindrical mold, then soaking it in rum-flavored syrup. The waiter asked me how much rum I wanted, so I asked for the regular amount. They poured the rum right in front of me. Wow, lots of rum! This rum is really tasty. The sweetness of the rum is really good. △ Cafe and chocolate I had lemon tea. They gave me a refill of tea. Three kinds of chocolate Bitter Creamy inside Orange jam Lunch in a quiet atmosphere. Everyone around me was dressed up in their own way, which added to the atmosphere. The service was top-notch, and the food was top-notch. When I asked for water at Wakayama's Hotel de Yoshino, I was given Evian, which cost 1,300 yen a bottle, but here it's free if you buy water from the restaurant. I was happy about that. I had a great time. Thank you for the meal.
