すぐ近くの帝国ホテルタワーに用事があったので、ちょっと帰りに
寄ってみました。最後に来たのはもう１０年前くらいになりますかね。
当時はまっ昼間に上司と仕事の仲間と来て禁煙席に座らされたので
楽しくもなんともなかったですが、外人さんの今回はピアノ演奏の
すぐ近くの席で照明も落とした良い感じの喫煙席でした。
メニューを見ますと、予想はしてましたがやはり全体的にそこらの
カフェに比べて軽く倍以上のお値段。
まぁ分かって入ったので別にいいんですが、取り敢えずやはりいつもの
お約束でアールグレーにパウンドケーキのセット（￥2100）をオーダー。
アールグレイ、旨かったですねぇ。周りの客は殆ど外国人の方でしたが
やはり中途半端な物出す訳には行かないのでしょうが、ここ数年で飲んだ
アールグレイの中では最も香りが強くて美味しかったです。
もちろんポットのカバーも砂時計もちゃんとつけてくれます。
パウンドケーキは値段のせいで美味しく感じたのかもしれませんが（笑
ナッツが沢山入っていてお酒が結構効いてましたが甘みも上品で
なかなかの味でした。
でもやはり何と言ってもこの雰囲気。アールグレイを飲みながら生演奏を
聞いてタバコをくゆらせる。このための2000円と思えばむしろ安いくらいです。
たまにはこういう場所で癒されるのも悪くは無い。
