JR山手線新橋駅烏森口をでて、ニュー新橋ビルを右手に見ながら歩き、新橋三丁目交番前の信号を越えた先で右折する。しばらく行くと左側にこの店はある。店内は左右に椅子席、左奥が調理場になっている。あまり味がしない煎茶が出てきたので、田舎とせいろの二色を注文した。
せいろついで田舎の順に蕎麦が出てくる。せいろは細く、田舎が太いのは一茶庵系の特徴だ。二八らしく、切りむらや端切れは目立たないが、水切りは良くない。蕎麦の味と香りはあまり感じなかった。
薬味はねぎと辛み大根とわさびだ。
辛汁は甘目だ。
蕎麦湯は釜湯で蕎麦同様に味があまり感じられなかった。
繰り返しになるが、本陣房系列の蕎麦は味のはっきりしない蕎麦がほとんどで、玄蕎麦の選択は感心しないことが多い。その所在地から、サラリーマンが自腹で蕎麦或は蕎麦酒を楽しむことに標的を合わせているので、蕎麦という素材に配慮が欠けているような気がする。
