都営地下鉄三田線の日比谷駅直結の国際ビル。地下1階にレストラン街がある。今日はラム肉を食べたい気分。予約して訪問。
ラム肉は低脂肪、高タンパクの優良食材。それを富士山の溶岩から切り出したプレートで焼いて食べる。いかにもパワーが漲りそう。
生ビールで乾杯して宴が始まる。自家製ピクルス、ポテトサラダ、トマトとアボカドのサルササラダを前菜に注文。
ラム肉は串焼きと例の溶岩プレートを使ってテーブルで焼くものを両方とも注文。羊肉は寒い地域で食べるイメージがある。日本だと北海道。中国だと東北地方では豚や牛より羊が好まれている。大好きな浅田次郎の蒼穹の昴シリーズで、張作霖率いる馬賊の一団が酒場で白酒を飲みながら、羊の塊り肉を茹でたシンプルな料理にかぶりつくシーンが出てくる。身体の中から熱を帯びてくる様子が印象に残っている。
店員さんに羊肉以外のオススメを聞くと、ガーリックとマッシュルームのアヒージョがおいしいとのことなので、こちらも注文。
バゲットも一緒に頼んで一緒に食べる。うん、うん、なかなかいいじゃなか。
食べて、飲んで、大変良き時間を過ごすことができた。
