クリスマスの夜は同僚二人と此処で会食。事前に予約をしておいた。急遽で決まったのでクリスマスの夜に急な予約が可能な店はあまり無いだろうと思い、少し風変わりなというか珍しい料理なら大丈夫かもということで調べたら、運良く予約が出来た。実は、この店は少し前に取引先と会食で予約をしていたのだが、相手側がインフルエンザに罹りキャンセルになった経緯がある。勿論、きちんとキャンセルをしたのだが、そうなると店を訪れる前にそういう気持ちに既にかなりなっていたものが、未だに燻ぶっていた感じがあったので、成程、クリスマスだからこうした料理の方が良かろうと思い、再び予約をした訳だ。
店は、丸の内で東京駅からすると北西に位置し、有楽町との丁度間位か。ビルの地下に位置するこじんまりとした店だが、カウンター席も含め、小綺麗な落ち着いたビストロという感じである。入口の右側にテーブル席が配されているがその一番奥に着座。コースは事前に8,000円程のものを頼んでいた。ビール抜きの飲み放題である。飲み放題は微炭酸のスパークリングワイン、赤、白のワイン、サングリア等、決まった物が幾つかだが、ジンやウィスキー等もソーダ或いはその他と割ってくれたりでカクテルの簡単なものであれば可能である。過不足無い。
さて、ポルトガル料理となると、9年程前に四ツ谷で接待の折に利用したことが日本では一度あるだけで、後はマカオで食べたことがあるだけである。スペイン料理もそうそう頻繁に食べるものでもないのだが、此方はずっと機会が少ない。だが、隣国で気候や風土に近しいものもはやはりあるのだろう。料理も似た部分も結構あるという気がした。地中海料理というものとどう同じでどう異なるか判然とした知識は有しないが、鰯やタラ、貝類は多様する様である。
普段は、肉が結果的に夜は多くなるが、この日の料理では魚も貝もかなりふんだんに食べた。前菜とリゾットの様なものを除く二皿は、見た目がそうだということに因るのかも知れぬが、料理の傾向としては似ている。
こういう料理は、やはり複数人で突くのが良い様な気がする。この日は3人であったが、2人で食べるよりは余程楽しみが増える気がする。
胃凭れがしない優しい味わいだが大蒜も使っており栄養価のバランスも良さそうだ。気取ってないのが良い。ご店主だと思うが、説明が丁寧でポルトガル料理、そして、提供する料理に愛情と静かな矜持を有しておいでなのが判る。同僚は感心していた。又、訪れよう。だが、店は大きくないのでふらりと立ち寄って入店出来る可能性は高くなさそうだが・・・・
