会社から帰宅の途次、"今日の晩飯は何にしようかなあ"と悩みながら歩いていると、自然と足が向く店がこちら。有楽町駅前の交通会館地下にある店で、向かい側に喫煙所、斜向かいには、出世したお笑い芸人が足繁く通ったと言う伝説の"とんかつ あけぼの"があるが、こちらも同じくらいの人気店である。
料金は前払い制、飲食店としては珍しく、ソフトドリンクの持ち込み可。店の外側の壁にメニューがはってあるが、種類が豊富でいつもどの組み合わせにしようか悩まされる（笑）
老舗の肉屋が経営しているだけあって、肉類のメニューが豊富だが、アジフライやエビフライ、カキフライもある。こうした老舗の店は、揚げ物の油が酸化しているのか、臭みが残っていたりする事があるのだが、ここの揚げ物は食べても胃もたれしない。メニューの組み合わせも自由度が高く、店舗が狭い事以外、特に難点は見当たらない。都心の一等地にある店で、普段使いするのにこれ程バランスの良い店も中々無いのでは無いかと思う。
とんかつあけぼのと営業が被らない様にしているのか、どちらかが営業している時は休業の事が多いのが少し気になっている（ミーハーな意味でw）
