平日の午後1時50分ころ。日比谷ミッドタウンの中のフードコート（Hibiya Food Hall）のすぐ外にあるカフェスタンド。お店の前にコーヒーテーブルと椅子が並んでいるので、そこにカバンを置いて席を確保し（とはいえ席が埋まっていたわけではない）、オーダー。待ち客ゼロ、店員さんとは目が合ったので、自分がレジ前でお待ちしていることはご認識されていたのだと思うが、溜まっていたレシートを整理し、小銭の塊（セロファンみたいなものに包まれて筒状になっているアレ）を複数取り出して、ラップを外してレジに入れてから、「大変お待たせいたしました」と言ってオーダーを取ってくださった。
日比谷焙煎珈琲という店名と同じもの、深煎りと浅煎り、レギュラーサイズとスモールサイズとがあるのだが、自分は浅煎り、そのレギュラーサイズ383円をいただいた。楽天ペイでお支払い。
浅煎りとはいえ昔のアメリカンのような薄さではもちろんなく、普通に美味しくいただくことができた。
