友人に連れられて有楽町ガード下のお寿司屋さんで一杯飲むことに。
人気店なので予約して訪問したが、カウンター席ならふらっと立ち寄った外国人観光客なども気軽に寿司を楽しんでいる。料金も良心的なので、円安の中で来日した人たちには天国のような場所だろう。
友人は常連なので店主とも気軽にやり取りして周りのお客さんとも次々に挨拶を交わしていく。
たまたま隣り合わせた隣のテーブルのお客さんとも混ざって交流。楽しい会話にお酒が進む。
つまみはお造り3点盛り、たまご焼き、さつま揚げなどを注文。寿司には日本酒が合うのだが、今日の気分はビール中心。大きなジョッキで口の中にこぼすような豪快な飲み方が好き。あー、ビールに溺れそうになる、笑
ドリンクメニューの中に見慣れないサワーを発見。“ガリサワー”ってなんだ？
「すみません、ガリサワーお願いします」
「はーい、お待ちくださーい」
しばらくしてテーブルに届けられたのはジョッキに入ったサワーの上にたっぷりの“ガリ”が載っている。
え、面白い！
さて、味はどうなのか？
うん、旨いじゃないか！ 甘酸っぱいガリの成分がサワーに染み出してとても美味しい。あっという間に飲み干す。
ガリは全部食べるものなのかどうか作法が分からない。もしかしたら“中”だけもらって継ぎ酒見みたいに繰り返し使うものなのだろうか？
お酒も旨い。アテも旨い。居心地の良いお店だ。店主と女将さんの朗らかで優しい雰囲気がお客さんにも伝染しているからだろう。
最後はお任せで寿司を握ってもらう。
うーん、寿司は別腹！ 新鮮な魚とお酢の効いた米の組み合わせは食欲を無限に刺激する。

温かい気持ちで寿司を食べた幸せを胸に帰路につく。
