有楽町でおやつ。シンガポールのカヤトーストという食べたことのない食べ物を体験しにこちらへ。
基本メニューらしき、
「カヤ トースト セット 700円税込」をオーダー。
選べるドリンクは、
「練乳ミルクコーヒー（=コビ）」をチョイス。こちらも現地では有名らしい。
食べ方説明を見ながら真面目にその通りに。
ソースは甘いというやつと日本の醤油に似た味というや作るがあり、私は無難に後者で。胡椒とソースを温泉卵にかけて混ぜ混ぜ。カヤトーストをちぎってつけながらいただきます。
カヤトーストならものですが、ごく薄くて小さめの食パンにバターとジャムのようなハチミツも混ざったようなものが挟んであり、甘くて美味しい。ただこれだけだと甘いの続きで飽きるところに、醤油味ソースと胡椒をかけて混ぜた温泉卵をつけると、中和されてちょうどいい感じ。なるほど。
コビはこのまま砂糖を加える必要ない甘さ、ちょっと変わったインスタントコーヒーみたいな味がします。カヤトーストとよく合うと思いました。
リピートしたいかと言われると微妙ですが、体験できて面白かったです。ごちそうさまでした。
