A new sensation of "petit rich" Steamed meat buns that are a delight to receive and fun to eat
A delight to receive, fun to eat: The unique features of Steamed meat buns offered by TOKYO PAO, a new type of "petit rich" Steamed meat buns, are their size and color. The size is about 6cm in diamet |
For dinner today, I strolled around Yurakucho Station. Exit the central exit of JR Yurakucho Station, go straight ahead to the left, and take the escalator at Yurakucho Station Square to the basement level. Once on the basement level, go straight ahead and enter Yurakucho ITOCIA. Go through the diagonal passage on the right, and follow the road until you see TOKYO PAO, the restaurant I visited today, on your left. I entered the restaurant at 5:15pm on a weekday. There were no other customers when I entered, so a female waitress called out to me, "Please sit wherever you like." I sat at the counter seat at the back on the left (in front of the kitchen) and checked the menu on the table. The menu is as follows: ■Noodle ・Ginger-scented chicken salt noodle set 1,320 yen ・Tomato hot and sour soup noodle set 1,380 yen ・Wonton Dim sum set 1,320 yen ■Dim Sum ・PAO's dim Dim sum set 1,700 yen ■Rice ・Mapo tofu set 1,300 yen ・Chicken rice set 1,210 yen ・Boiled Gyoza / Dumpling set 1,100 yen ・Lu rou rice set 1,280 yen ■Side-Dim Sum ・ Xiaolongbao 730 yen ・Steamed shrimp Gyoza / Dumpling 730 yen ・Shark fin Gyoza / Dumpling 730 yen ■RAO ・Pork bun 300 yen ・Szechuan pepper bun 300 yen ・Lu rou bun 300 yen ・Yulin chicken bun 300 yen ・Curry bun 300 yen ・ Candied sweet potatos potato bun 300 yen ・Chili shrimp bun 300 yen・Black sesame bun 300 yen ■Drink Menu ・Chinese tea 550 yen ・Jasmine tea 550 yen ・Espresso soy tea 440 yen ・Soy tea latte 440 yen ・Matcha soy latte 440 yen ・Oolong tea 440 yen ・Jasmine tea 440 yen ・Asahi Super Dry (small bottle) 640 yen ・Taiwan beer (small bottle) 640 yen ・Taiwan fruit beer (mango) 640 yen ・Non-alcoholic beer 640 yen ・Asahi Dry Zero (small bottle) 640 yen ■Set-Drink ・Espresso soy tea +250 yen ・Soy tea latte +250 yen ・Matcha soy latte +250 yen ・Oolong tea +250 yen ・Jasmine tea +250 yen For the main course, I decided to have "Ginger-scented Chicken Salt Soup Noodles" and was having trouble deciding on the PAO that came with the set. I was interested to see that there were so many different colors, so I decided to ask the female waitress for a recommendation. When I called the waitress and asked her for a recommendation, she told me that the most popular was the pink "Lu Rou Bun", so I asked the waitress for the "Ginger-scented Chicken Salt Soup Noodles Set" with "Lu Rou Bun". I waited for 5 minutes. The "Ginger-scented Chicken Salt Soup Noodles Set" was served. The "Ginger-scented Chicken Salt Soup Noodles Set" consisted of "Ginger-scented Chicken Salt Soup Noodles" and "Lu Rou Bun". The main features of the "Ginger-scented Chicken Salt Soup Noodles" were steamed chicken, coriander, green onions, and chopped green onions. I took a sip of the soup from the "Ginger-scented Chicken Salt Soup Noodles". The strong saltiness hit me hard, and I could feel the ginger in the aftertaste. The soup had a deep richness and flavor that spread throughout my mouth. I started eating, thinking that I would probably drink up the entire soup of this "Ginger-scented Chicken Salt Noodles." I slurped the noodles. The noodles were medium-thin and curly. The curly noodles mixed well with the soup. The salty soup clung to the noodles and was delicious. The toppings included steamed chicken, coriander, green onions, chopped green onions, and more, on top of the noodles. The steamed chicken was hidden on top of the noodles and in the soup, and there was a generous amount. The steamed chicken was seasoned, and the more I chewed it, the more the meaty flavor spread in my mouth. The green onions had a crunchy texture, and added a chewy texture that other ingredients didn't have, adding an accent to the dish. The "Lu Rou Bun" had a thick, fluffy, chewy, and moist pink skin, which encased the soft, tender loin meat of Sangen pork. The seasoning was strong but a little lacking, so Q used the Dim sum sauce on the table. He then slurped up the noodles of the Ginger-Scented Chicken Salt Soup Noodles, ate the toppings, had a pink Lu Lou Bun as a palate cleanser, and finally drank up the entire soup. As he continued to sip the soup, he thought to himself that if he had added some yuzu pepper, the flavor would be elevated even further. Today, Q-chan enjoyed the pink Lu Lou Bun and Ginger-Scented Chicken Salt Soup Noodles from the colorful PAO. Thank you for the meal.
