汐留のシティーセンター2階にあります。新橋駅からも汐留駅からも3分ほどです。
以前はよく言っていたのですが、最近牛タンが値上がりしたというニュースを聞いて、高くなっているだろうと思い足が遠のいていました。
2人で行きましたので、牛たん焼塩味と味噌味の定食をたのみシェアして食べました。
麦飯、トロロ、テールスープ付き
メニューには各2枚と書いてありますが、カットしてあるので4切れずつ出てきます。
肉厚の牛たんはとても柔らかく、切れ目が入れてあるので、とても食べやすく、それでいて牛たん特有の噛みごたえもあり、噛むほどに旨味が口の中で広がります。
お店のホームページによるとそのうまさの秘訣は、
牛たんの厚さと秘伝の味付け、焼き方にあります。柔かく、かつ噛み応えのある絶妙な厚さの牛たんを低温でじっくりと熟成させ、火力の強い備長炭で短時間で焼き上げるのがコツ、だそうです。
定食にはテールスープも付いており、大きめのテールの切り身が丸ごと入っており、そのためスープにうまみが十分出ております。そのスープをいっぱい入っている白髪ネギを食べながら飲むとさっぱりした旨味が口に広がります。
最後に、お値段はやはり以前から比べ大分高くなっておりました。
