銀座で明け方まで営業している貴重な中華料理店。
中央通りの資生堂ビルからしばらく歩いたところにある。なんと朝5時まで営業、店名の「江南」は「長江の南」、上海あたりを意味する。あっさりとした調理がこちらの江南料理の特徴なので夜でも比較的腹もたれがないのも有り難い。
銀座亭を横目で見て階段を地下1階へ下りると広い店内が見渡せる。
餃子、クラゲの酢の物、辛い牛肉土鍋煮、高菜そば、蟹炒飯などを注文。
確かに味つけは全体的に薄目で塩味も控えめ、やや物足りない気もするが寝しなのためこれがいいのだろう。
餃子は皮が厚く食べ応えがあるが個人的には薄皮の餃子が好きなので△、くらげの酢の物もくらげはもっと細かくしてほしい。どうしても味が雑になるので細かく切られたキュウリとも合わない。辛い牛肉土鍋が一番美味しかった。
