ニュー新橋ビルはやり過ごした。
そんなにいつもいつもこの“古いけどNew”なビルにおんぶに抱っこになっているわけにもいかないもんで
「俺たちは古いけど新しい !」
―― よく分かんなかったなぁ、昔の関西のヘヴィメタが言ってたことは ……
「ピアット デル ベオーネ」
狭く猥雑とした路地の中の雑居ビルの二階。
暗く急な階段を上ったら、一転ベージュ基調の落ち着いた空間があらわれた。窓に乳白色のスクリーンを重ねて外光をディフューズするとともに照明も落とされてやや薄暗く、それがちょうど良い大人の雰囲気を醸し出していた。
BGMはJAZZ。
わりかしちゃんとしたお店でそれもどうかなと思ったが、あっさりと誘惑に負け、もはや日本料理と化しているものを注文してしまった。自分にだけは嘘はつきたくなかった。
たとえ人に嘘ついても ……
そしたら、
「今の時間はドリンクがサービスとなりますが、どちらにしましょう♪」
とのこと。何時からかは知らないが。私の入店は、午後一時半頃だったと思う。
兎も角、得しちゃったね ♪
“昔ながらのナポリタン” @800也。
サラダ・パン付き
注文をとると給仕の男性は、それを「ロッソです」と厨房に通した気がする。ペペロンチーノがメニュウにあったのは確認しているので、ランチは常時、白系赤系と取り揃えられているのであろうか。
後に女性二人連れがやってきて、同じショートパスタ二つの注文に対しては、「クリーム、ドゥエで」とやっていた。
とすると白、赤、クリーム三本柱か。
ある程度時間が掛かっていたので想像がついていたが、スパゲッティはスパゲッティーニの茹であげ。ケチャップ一発ではなく、生クリームか牛乳か、そんなミルキーな香りを纏ってややマイルド。期待していたウィンナーではなく、薄切りベーコンだったが、携えている脂身は私の苦手とする変な生々しさを持ったものではなく、なんら抵抗なくやれる上等なもの
“昔ながらの”という作為的キャッチフレーズには些か違和感を覚えるが、しかし特段奇を衒ったところのない誠実な料理。パンもちゃんと温められていて美味しかった。
支払いの時、カウンターの向こうの厨房にコックユニフォウム姿の男性を見つけたが、想像よりも随分と若くて男らしくガタイの良さそうな方で、その繊細な料理との高いコントラスト(ごめんなさい !)に、上ってきた急階段を再び下りつつ、少しにやけてしまった
