よし、今日はタコスキメるぞ。とスイッチオン。
この辺りは細い通りで夜は人で溢れていて、想像以上の人の数。角地にあるこちらに初訪問。
テンション上がる店構え、新橋から一気にメヒコのストリートに飛んだ感じ。
カウンターには空きがあるように見えましたが、予約が入っているのか…？ 利用できず残念またの機会に…
のハズが！
入口付近で立ち飲みされてた4人組に
「せっかくだから一緒に呑みませんか？」
と救済のお言葉をかけられる。
こんな時にこそ使える日本語、
「それではお言葉に甘えて…」
念のため店主さんに断りを入れる。
会計一緒であればいいよ、というよくわからない条件でしたがOKいただきました。
ということで初対面の方々との楽しい立ち飲み。
メキシコ料理好きはおおらかなんだとこの日の結論。
珍しいテキーラホッピーとメスカルハイボールの2杯飲んで、ポークのタコスとスパイシーチキンタコスをオーダー。選べるトルティーヤはもちろんブルーコーンで。
ポークのタコスってことは、メキシコシティでは最も代表的なストリートフードであるパストールのことでしょう。
日本でもよく見かける、あのトルコケバブの店先にある、円錐状の豚肉を積み上げてローストしてるやつ。
外側をナイフで削るアレです！
アレ（というか見た目アレ的な）をタコスのお肉として入れたものがパストールなんです。だからルーツは西アジアですかね。
あのロースト機は使ってないと思うけど、ライムを絞ってサルサソースをかけて食べる本場に近いスタイルのタコスはやはり美味しかったのです。
スパイシーチキンタコスもジューシーでうまい。
ホッピーを使ったテキーラホッピーが新鮮。テキーラにホッピーが合うって事がわかりました。
メスカルハイボールのメスカルはデルンベスの赤ラベルかな？個人的にも普段よく飲んでいるメスカルブランドです。
最後に私1人のお値段を出してもらいまして、2,500円になりました。
