British Style Curry
British style curry. Three types of curry are served at lunchtime at this British pub. I was looking for a place to have lunch and was attracted by the sign "Today's British Style Curry" and entered the restaurant. The friendly owner explained the curry to me and I ordered. One of the dishes was already sold out, so I had two choices. ▪️Pork, radish, carrot, and onion curry set 1,000 yen (tax included) ・Cabbage salad (refills available), coffee or tea (takeaway available) I sat at a tall table near the entrance. First, I was served cabbage salad, which I quickly finished and asked for a refill. The curry was served in less than five minutes. I was asked what I wanted to drink after the meal, so I asked for tea. The rice was served in a cup shape, which was a distinctive feature. The curry was served in a small stainless steel pot with two handles. I poured the curry around the rice. There was more meat and vegetables than I expected. The pork was soft and had just the right amount of elasticity. The curry was watery and had a refreshing spice. Is this British style curry? It's very familiar to Japanese people. The amount of rice is decent. I could have asked for more. When you finish eating, they give you tea in a paper cup with a lid. I took this back to the office and enjoyed afternoon tea.

ランチではブリティッシュスタイルのカレーやプルドポークバーガーを提供するBritishpub。
ランチ場所を探していたところ店前の看板に、以前食べたカレーに加え｢プルドポークバーガー｣が新メニューに加わっていたので食べてみることに。
入口付近の背の高いテーブル席に案内される。
感じの良いマスターにお声かけして注文。

・オリジナルスパイシーソース
・キャベツサラダ，コーヒーor紅茶
キャベツサラダと共にバーガーがペーパーに包まれ提供される。
先ずはキャベツを平らげバーガーとご対面。
バンズは至って普通のふかふかのパン。
トーストしてあったらもっと良い感じだろうな。
バーガーの中にはプルドポーク，オニオン，スパイシーソースが挟まれている。
ジューシーでスモーキーなポークに、ピリッと辛目のソースがとてもよく合う。
フレッシュなオニオンの甘みと刺激も良い。
美味しいプルドポークだったが、あまりボリューム感はなく食べ終えても少し物足りなさを感じる。
食べ終えると蓋付きの紙コップで紅茶かコーヒーを出してくれる。
持ち帰り可能な嬉しいサービス。
カレーのメニューも変わっていたので気になるところ。
