今日は仕事始め。まだ開いていない店が多く、多くの昼食難民が向かう毎日ビルに吸い込まれ入ったのがここ。昔ながらの洋食屋のイメージで先輩に連れられて過去何度か来たが、カレーの店とは今日初めて気づいた。気づいたからにはということで、今日はメニューのトップにあるカツカレーを注文。サラダなし、具なし、カツだけたっぷり乗っているカツカレー。ステンレスのカレー皿でいかにも昭和の雰囲気。こんなの久しぶりだ。昨日食べたオクシモロンのヘルシーカレーと180度違う食べ物だと思いながら、案外スイスイと食べ進む。何というか適度にピリピリするもマイルドでパンチは余りない。同僚が「だから長続きする定番メニューなんじゃないですか」というのに思わず納得。おそらく多くの野菜をしっかり煮込んでつくったもので脂肪分は少ないのだろう。
見た目に比して食後胃は重くなかったが、ライスがたっぷり入っていたので、午後眠気に襲われることになった。
