東京メトロ大手町駅直結の大手町ビルの地下レストラン街にある、ウルフギャング パック エクスプレスを、てっきり六本木にある「ウルフギャングステーキハウス」支店だと思っていたら、全然関係の無い「ウルフギャング・パック」シェフの料理とサービスを提供しているレストランだというのは、今回入ってみて初めて知りました。
お店のHPによると『お客様にとって大変紛らわしいのですが、双方ともに本名を店名として営業している為、店名の変更等はございません。』とのことで、そりゃそうだよな同じ店名で全然関係の無いお店なんて山ほどあるしと納得しました。
看板料理はオリジナルのバンズを使うハンバーガーや、手作りピザなどのカリフォルニア料理ということで、店内には大きく引き伸ばしたパックさんの写真が貼られています。
残業帰りに空腹を満たそうと飛び込みで入ったのが19時半くらいで、ほぼ満席の賑わいでしたが幸いカウンター席が1つ空いていたので待たずに案内してもらえました。
カウンター席には、自分と同様に仕事帰りに食事にぶらりと入ってきたと思われる白人男性客が多く、インターナショナルな雰囲気です。
ハンバーガーでもと思って入ったのですが夜は炭水化物を控えているので、米国産リブアイステーキと生ビールをオーダー。
10分くらいでステーキが焼き上がってきましたが、生ビールはほとんど飲んでしまったので、赤ワインをグラスで追加します。
リブステーキの中でも芯の部分だけのリブアイステーキは、赤身肉ですが適度な脂もあって美味しい。
ソースは甘めのガーリックソースで、この肉にはぴったりでした。
付け合わせのフレンチフライもたっぷりのボリュームなので、パンなどをつけなくても十分におなかにたまります。
サービス面でも若いスタッフたちが生き生きとして反応が良くて好感が持てました。
次回は、アカデミー賞のアフターパーティで提供されているというスモークサーモンのピザを試してみようと思います。
