「メナムのほとり」３０年以上前位に「東京のレストラン」みたいな本でよく見かけたなぁという記憶があります。まだパソコン通信レベルしかネット媒体はなく当時は本や雑誌頼り。食通の人的ネットワークから我々一般人には川の流れの様な時間が必要な時代。本店（当時はもちろんそこだけ）に一度行った様な気もします。
本日初めて訪れたこちら。日本で長くお客さんに接してこられたことは、日本人の味覚にある程度寄り添いつつタイ料理の味を出しているのだろうなぁ、という感じのお味です。辛すぎないけどもタイ料理のスパイスというかそういうものは感じられます。テーブルにナンプラーだのの調味料がおいてあって使える。
カオマンガイのランチセットをお願いしました。小さなトムヤムクンスープがついていましたが、これが辛さ抑えめ乍らもタイのお味。カオマンガイセットもそうですが、ライスはきちんとタイのお米。（ライスはお代わりできるようでした）
お店がもっと奥行があるのかな、と思いきや、通路に面したところがオープンになっていてそこにテーブルがある感じで、ちょっと落ち着かないかな？という感じもありますが、まぁそんなに人通りのある通路でもないので、まぁ許容範囲かな。
タイ料理が一般に知られる様になって、かなりたっていますので、そろそろもうちょっと現地の味の度合いを高めてもいいのかな、と思う反面、これがこのお店の思いやりとも言えます。
ちなみに、テイクアウトのお弁当は千円札でお釣りが来る品揃え。もっと近ければ買いに来たい感じです。
