「メナムのほとり」といえば神保町にあるタイ料理の老舗。
オープンは1989年、ということは35歳！
そのメナムのほとりが大手町にもあると知って行ってまいりました。
ガーデンタワー店のオープンは2014年。
大手町駅から直接行けるはずのビルなんだけど、地下で迷って仕方なく地上に上がってこちらを目指しました。
大手町の地下って井状になっているので本当に難しいんだよね…
お店は日本生命丸の内ガーデンタワーの２F。
ちなみに同じビルにSalesforceが入っていて、吹き抜けの解放感ある１Fには同社の大きな看板が掛かっていました。
Salesforceって意外な場所にあるのね。
この手の会社が金融の集まる大手町にあるとか、ちょっと意外だったな。
エスカレーターで２Fへ上がると右手に「メナムのほとり」。
お店は思いのほか狭く、オープンになる通路に沿ってテーブルが配置されているイメージです。
お１人さまだった私はレジ背後の大きな丸テーブルへ促されました。
メニューはセットを中心に紹介していましたが、単品でのオーダーも可能。
セットと言っても好きなお料理を２品選べるタイプではなく、好きな麺に炒飯が付くタイプのみのため、色々食べたい私みたいな欲張りには若干寂しく感じるかも。
本日はまず目に入ったグリーンカレーヌードルのセット1300円を頂くことに。
麺は米綿か中華麺から選択可能のため、中華麺を選択しました。
正午をすぎると壁沿いに行列の出来る人気店だけど、オペレーションがしっかりしており、あっという間にお料理が登場。
トレーにすでに紙エプロンが乗ってるあたり、さすがね。
頂いたグリーンカレーヌードルはかなり辛みがしっかり、生姜がっつり。
コクはあるけれど煮詰まった感じはなく、さらっとしていて、それが中華麺によく馴染んで美味しいです。
ただ、彩りが寂しい。
チキンとナスはそれなりに入っていたけれど、パプリカをちょっと乗せるだけで全然華やかさが違うのに。とちょっと思ったのでした。
ちなみに炒飯も具材たっぷり、サラダとこの炒飯がついて単品と100円しか違わないなら、断然セットだわね。
全体的に日本人の口に馴染む味わいだと思いました。
お弁当も充実（その上、イートインよりかなり安い）。
個人的に意外と利用しやすい場所だと判明したので、今後ランチスポットに加えよう。
