平日の昼。
本当は、近くの〈二〇加屋長介〉でうどんでもと思って来たのだが、直前で視界に入ったこの店の値段が安かったので、実に半年以上ぶりに使ってみることにした。
ラーメンや中華料理のオカズをベースにした定食を出している。どれも1,000円以内という良心価格。以前来た時は、この価格帯は安くはあったけれど、それほど有難みもなかった。それが1年経たないうちに値上げ、値上げで、この価格帯の店が無くなっていったため、稀少価値がある。
この日の限定麺は〈汁無し担々麺〉、追い飯付き。
肉味噌の辛さやニラなどでパンチを利かせつつ、濃厚な胡麻のタレと麺が絡めてある、ほとんど山椒のシビレを感じないなんちゃって系汁無し担々麺。温泉卵を割って食べるから、担々麺というより台湾まぜそばの胡麻風味版的な感じすらある。四川正宗原理主義者にとっては何じゃこれ、という感じだろうが、料理としての仕上がりはけして悪くない。というか、雲南エリアまで進出してきちゃった今となっては何のことという感じだが、広東とか四川とか、そんな区分すら認識されていなかった時代の日本の町場の中華屋で汁無し担々麺を作ったらこうなるだろう、てな仕上がりで悪くない。悪くないどころか、今時900円で追い飯付きでこのレベルで食べられれば、御の字と言える。以前来たとき、定食のボリュームはイマイチに感じたところ、麺は意外に真っ当な分量という気がする。
現在、出勤時のランチのローテーションで「2枚目」以降が流動的。盤石とは言えないまでも、ちょっとしばらく試してみようかという気になる。
その一方で、店内を照らすネオン照明でうざったいほどに演出される昭和レトロ感と、町場の中華屋的定食の、メニューの微妙な現代っぽさという絶妙なズレ、でも出て来るのは昭和レトロ的アレンジというコンセプトの無節操さは、何だか他人に勧めにくい感もある。
