以前から行ってみたかった、日本橋高島屋特別食堂へ。
入ると品のいいウェイターさんに丁寧に案内される。席間隔もゆったり、周囲は余裕がありそうな？大人たちが会食を楽しんでいる。デパートの食堂、というとお子様ランチがあるようなカジュアルなイメージだが・・・こちらは百貨店の中でも最上位の風格を保つ日本橋高島屋にある食堂、さすが、と思う。
お店も、鰻の野田岩、帝国ホテル、大和屋三玄と、高級感のあるラインナップ。
ずっと食べたかった野田岩の鰻重をいただく。特別な小さいサイズ。カロリーを気にする自分には、これで十分だった。肝のお吸い物、おしんこ、そしてこれは珍しいが大根おろしがつく。鰻は上品な、少しあっさりした味で好み。
こちらの食堂は何がいいかというと、和洋鰻で好きな物をちょっとずつ選んで楽しむことができるのがとてもいい。帝国ホテルの前菜の後に鰻をいただき、デザートはまた帝国ホテルのクレープシュゼット、なんていうこともできる。コースを食べるのが無理な少食の大人でも、好きなアラカルトをちょっとと、お茶を楽しむ、なんてこともできる。
食事中のサービスも、ちゃんとした和食店のように何度もお茶を取り替えてくれて嬉しい。大人のニーズに応えてくれているお店。
