創業１９３７年、ジャズ喫茶からスタートしたという歴史あるお店の紅花でカレー。鉄板焼きとココットカレーのお店ということで、昼間は鉄板焼きのテーブルでココットに入ったカレーを楽しめる。
レギュラーのチキンカレーを注文すると、熱せられた鉄板に並べられたココットをさっと持ってきてくれて、瞬時にカレーが登場するという仕組み。他のカレーは厨房から運ばれてくるので、少し時間がかかるみたい。
続いてライスとサラダ。サラダにかけられた緑のドレッシング、美味しい。カレーはスリランカカレーということで、サラッとスープ状のもの。ライスにかけると滲みていく。これがけっこうパンチの効いた辛さと旨さで、辛い辛いと思いつつあっという間にライスはなくなっていくことに。
ライスはお代わり無料。ココットの中にはけっこうな量のソースが入っているので、お代わりが標準な感じ。なのでライスのお代わりをお願いし、柔らかい鶏肉など具材を混じえつつさらっと辛くて美味しいカレーを楽しんだ。
チキン以外の他のカレーも食べてみたいところ。
